We're all in this together
I say, "Be a fool for Christ, stake everything on Him. Cause in the end He is the only one who will ever truly love you unconditionally.”
So why wait?
Why resist a love like that?
I say, "Be aware of your nothingness and realize that following Christ calls us to go beyond our what our culture considers comfortable"
Brennan Manning said "The world will respect us if we court it, it will respect us even more if we reject it and disdain our anger, but it will hate us if we simply take no notice of it or it's priorities."
Did you catch that?
The world will respect us if we court it,
it will respect us even more if we reject it and disdain our anger,
but it will hate us if we simply take no notice of it or it's priorities.
I say, "Be a fool for Christ and remember these words..."
"Desperation is a great place to be"
We need to ache for God.
Ache for Him and not for what He can give us.
A lot of times we pray selfish prayers.
We hardly ever say "God, here I am, what do you want me to do?"
And if we do pray that, we don't really mean it
Cause we don't do anything about it
We need to ache for God.
We need to hurt for Him; we need to cry for God.
He cries for us, He weeps, He bleeds.
And He cares that you would know Him.
The real Him, not just the censored church version
He cares that you would take time to get to know Him everyday
So you can be friends
So that you can become lovers in a great romance
So you can talk to Him like a confidant.
All we want from Him are things, goals, & wishes.
And all He wants from us is love.
A relationship.
And everyone should know that a successful relationship depends on the equal giving of both parties involved.
I know that we can never give back to God what He gave to us. but we can at least give some back.
If not all we have.
But we've got to start somewhere.
We complain about how God never does anything for us
But we hardly ever do anything for Him
We pray to God and ask, "What do you want from me?"
And God cries out "I want you to get to know me, can't you see?"
And we say, "I already know you. I hang out at your house when a bunch of people are there, what more do you want?"
And God says, "I want you to be in love with me. I want you to tell me everything.
I want help you sort through the mess you’ve made of things"
He says, “I know life is hard, but I am good. Let me help…"
and he waits for our response………………
