so i went to the apple store and got my iPod checked out... the mac genius (that is his actual title, not me being a smarty pants) who was helping me said that my hard drive is gonna die soon... but thankfully he was able to temporarily get it working, until it dies for good... which according to him, will be soon...
so i rushed home and downloaded some trial software that allowed me to rip all of my music and album artwork out of ol' betsy blue eyes (illegally)... all of my play counts are now kaput, but at least i don't have to start from scratch when i have to shell out the big bones for a new one... plus i learned that if i bring my old iPod in when i get a new one i'll get a 10% discount... which will be about 25 bones off the retail price...
yes, i just referred to dollars as bones... twice...
