"And I thought of hate... And I thought of hate... And then I thought of love..."
~Lisa Loeb
Don't you hate it when someone does something that really ticks you off? They really hurt your feelings. It's as if they insulted the very core of who you are. It's so easy to be angry. And it's very easy to be tempted into "one-up-ing" them. "Well you said this about me, so I'm gonna say this little thing about you..." Anger is such an easy road to walk down. But what about love? It's always the last thing we think of in these situations. It's sort of an after thought. If it's even a thought at all. We can walk down the road of hate, bitterness, vengeance and ultimately death. Or we can choose to walk the road of love, hope, forgiveness and ultimately life.
As for me, I am tired of walking down the path of hate. For lack of better words and a low level of sophistication in the vocabulary department, I want to be a better lover. No more Hater-rade, thanks I'm full.
