One Punk, Under God

So tonight on the Sundance Channel, there is a new documentary series (nice words for reality show) starting up. It's called "One Punk, Under God". Anyway, since i've heard the star (star?) of the show speak and met him in person, i thought i'd give him a plug, because he's a nice enough guy... And he's cool because he runs a church out of a bar. Yahoo TV has the show listed a one of "tonight's picks".

Here's what they have to say about it...

Jay Bakker, son of Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker, hopes to establish Revolution Ministries, a church looking to reach out to those who have turned away from traditional congregations. Documentary explores Bakker's professional, emotional and financial struggles while running his church in Atlanta, Georgia.

I am a little disappointed by Sundance scheduling it on Wednesday nights, but I can get over it... Something like this can either, A. make christians not seem as lame as the media portrays (even though some "christians" can be pretty lame, i.e. Joel Sanders) or B. Send a completely wrong message about what Christianity is all about. Reality shows are notoriously known for the "Unfair Edit". We shall see.

So fire up your DVR!
