lords of dogtown review

so i went and saw lords of dogtown with my brother on friday night... i guess the movie didn't get much hype because it was pretty small crowd for an opening night... which was kinda cool because everyone there seemed to be there because they knew the skaters or saw the documentary "dogtown and the z-boys" (with a few exceptions of heath ledger fans, who i assume were completely lost and let down)... heath ledger did a great great job! he didn't even look or act like heath ledger at all... he was convincingly in character... it was a very good movie, i highly recommend seeing the documentary before you go see the movie just so you are familiar with the characters and the story... there are a ton of characters in the story and it was nice to know who was who... the movie had a very independent feel... fairly gritty... it has some slow points but for the most part i loved it...
